Round the world trip for two guys from Switzerland

Yesterday afternoon, after I picked up my daughter, I noticed in the (Natchitoches, La) Walmart parking lot, a rather unusal vehicle that I recognized to NOT be from the US.... Not only that, it had a huge camper built on it! This evening I met Jean-Pierre and Adrian from Switzerland who are doing a several year round the world trip in their converted camper 2002 Toyota HZJ-79 Landcruiser. They have traveled Europe, Canada, and are now in the US. They are snaking their way back up to Canada to go home shortly to meet their parents (who from what I gathered are sick). After talking expo vehicles and exchanging cards, I was about to tell them bye, but was trying to figure out if we could cook for them, but we didnt have any groceries to cook something "Louisiana" for them... So we went to a good restaurant, my treat! No pics of the food, but we all had gumbo and some "bayeaux fettucini". Nice guys, glad to meet them and treat them. They shyfully admitted it wasnt the first time the vehicle was recognized by us Expedition types and taken in.
They have to get back to Canada by May 9th, from there they will spend a few more months in Canada going to Alaska and then coming back down the West coast and visiting a lot of parks in the West. From there they will head south into Mexico and Central America and then farther into South America. Buen suerte amigos! Good luck friends!
